PRAYING THROUGH to VICTORY

PRAYING THROUGH to VICTORY
"Prayer will becomes effective when we stop using it as a substitute for obedience” — A. W. TOZER
The Story is told of a man who discovered a precious metal in a particular spot in his locality. He put all his resources together and got all the required experts that could help him to dig out the precious metal. They recommended to him that he should buy some heavy gadgets and machineries. This he did and they began to dig. This Precious stone, if sold, was worthaking his family and even his nation wealthy. He got everyone involved and they laboured for months. Unfortunately, they could not discover any gold or precious metal. He encouraged them to dig further. They dug but found nothing. He therefore, regretted ever spending his time and money in digging that space. He eventually gave up and decided to sell off the machineries and gadgets. After carrying out serious investigation, someone else decided to buy the space including all the machineries and gadgets. He called his expert team and they started digging that same spot where that other fellowship and his men had dug for months. Fortunately, just about a few yards, they got into gold and precious metal. The other fellow could have continued digging until he found the gold but he gave up so soon and left it to the new man who dug determinedly and found the precious stones.
Like the first man who searched and dug for months to no avail, many yield to discouragement before they get the answer to their prayer. They pray and fast, and just about the time the answer from heaven is to get to them, they give up. In the case of Daniel, he had been praying and waiting on the Lord. And whilst the angel was bringing the blessing, there was a hindrance on the way. But Daniel continued twenty-one days fasting  and praying before the Lord. Had he stopped on the nineteenth day, hevwould have missed the revelation and blessings meant for him.
Believers should learn to pray through to victory. We should not give up or be discouraged. The Lord expects us to be importunate in prayer until the answer comes.
